Los Angeles, California
For the second year in a row Silver Lake Love hits the streets to distribute clothes to homeless veterans and resident of the city of Los Angeles. All of the folks we encountered received pants, a shirt, and a jacket as sizes and inventory permitted.
Silver Lake Love’s founder and executive director commented “The holidays are always a tough time for those who don’t have family and support. For me personally it’s seeing the veterans that hurt me the the most. They give so much for our country, for us to be safe, to protect America. It’s tough to see them without the support they deserve. It really makes me proud to be out there to serve them.”
The holidays are a time when we see people get gifts, love, and see family, but for the people on the streets, they don’t get that. It’s hard to find the will to keep going and to believe you have the potential to be the change you want to see in yourself. That’s why it’s a pleasure for us to help, especially more during the holidays.
The New Year’s clothing distribution party was made possible by a generous drive sponsored by Trunk Club of Los Angeles on 8833 National Blvd in Culver City. This is the second year in a row that Trunk Club has been a partner with us in helping to make things a little more right for those in need in Los Angeles. We’re proud and honoured to have Trunk Club work with us in this cause.
